What is the CIRCLe space?
As many may know, the Office of Community Engaged Learning has been fortunate enough to gain a space to promote and emphasize the utilization of the Community Innovation Room for Collaborative Leadership (CIRCLe). What this means is that CELFs (our student facilitators), faculty, and even partners can come to the Learning Resource Center at Lewis University and use this space for meeting, collaborating, and other actions for success.
How does the OCEL utilize the space?
Right now, the Office of Community Engaged Learning is using this space for the Graduate Assistants (Emilio and Kelly), as a workspace for their projects. The space has also been used by students during break periods, homework help, and overall socialization with other CELFs, students, and faculty.
The office’s goal is to make the space more open and available for everyone through community engagement.
In the near future, we will be sending out more opportunities to engage in the CIRCLe space through social media and other resources. Be on the lookout in weekly emails and continuing blogs!
What opportunities does it bring to everyone?
The OCEL is very excited about this space and is hoping to continue its growth by promoting the inclusion of everyone involved in our community!
