We are excited to welcome Tyler Samaras to the Community Engaged Learning Facilitators
(CELF) program this semester! Tyler is working with Dr. Jennifer Buntin’s Diversity and Social Justice Course. As a course-based CELF he works with the students on reflection and in this case, involvement with community partners. The office is very excited to see where the partnerships with Fairmont School Homework Club and Play for Rings, After the Peanut, and
Fairmont Community Food Pantry throughout the course and community will go! Here is a little bit about our new CELF Tyler:
Major: Business Administration
Hometown: Itasca, Illinois
Year in school: Senior
Favorite movie: Scarface
Favorite quote: “Be the guy that makes things happen.”
Reason for joining the CELF program and your favorite part so far: Leadership experience; my favorite part about being a CELF is connecting with everyone and the challenge of getting started.
