Lewis University students in Assistant Professor Tracy Hemmingway’s Special Events course hosted #MSrockstars, an event at Rockstars Garage in Plainfield, on Saturday, April 30th. The overall goal of the course was to learn about hosting a special event, so the group worked to create an event that fundraised for Karen Randazzo and the national MS society. The class greatly exceeded their goal of $5,000 by raising $8,280.
The class was able to get to know the owner of Rockstars Garage, Steve Randazzo, very well through their work. Steve shared in a testimonial on their website:
“To me, the event was a total success. As you know it was very personal to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed the event and am happy that the money raised exceeded my expectations! A big thank you to all involved, it was a job well done!"
