OCEL Welcomes New Graduate Assistant

Updated: Jan 25, 2021

We welcome our new Graduate Assistant, Liz Anderson to the team.

Liz Anderson graduated from Lewis in December 2019 and joined the Office of Community Engaged Learning as our new graduate assistant in August 2020. Liz is pursuing her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.

During her undergraduate career, Liz majored in Communications in Broadcast Radio/TV and served as an executive producer for LUTN’s (Lewis University Television Network) news magazine show, “Lewis Life''. Lewis Life is focused on highlighting stories involving campus life at Lewis University. Liz had the opportunity to create segments that demonstrated the positive effects of taking community engaged learning courses. A few particular courses featured were Community News and Information, Diversity and Social Justice, and Faith Behind Bars. Learning about the courses and being involved in creating content to showcase the impact of CEL learning experiences on students inspired Liz to apply as a graduate assistant in our office.
