2nd Elementary Education. In addition to serving as a Community Engaged Learning Facilitator, Emily serves as the Co-Vice President of Catholic Educators, President of Pinky Swear Pack and a member of Best Buddies. She is also a Golden Apple Scholar for 2021.

This year with CELF, Emily is partnered with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) of Joliet through their SKILLS program, which is focused on empowering young people with disabilities to live independently Her role is primarily to support Lewis University education majors in designing and implementing lessons that they create for students in the SKILLS program, which is currently being offered online.

Emily shared that being part of the CELF program “has given [her] the opportunity to reflect [her] own leadership skills and support the growth of others. As we form a community with the DRC it is wonderful to see Lewis students engage and support in the academic growth of others.” We’re really happy to have someone as dedicated and talented as Emily working with the SKILLS program!
